THE ABSOLUTE 7

Oak Hills Junior High was represented at this year’s Regional Destination Imagination Competition by an incredible team, the “ABSOLUTE 7” and their Team Manager, Mrs. Jebousek. ABSOLUTE 7 earned 2nd place in the SCIENTIFIC category! The team was tasked with the challenge of creating a documentary featuring the story line of a Scientific Law which was broken. The team spent hours learning about thermodynamics, Absolute Zero, script writing, as well as various documentary techniques and video editing.

Team members Aubry Clevinger, Dillon Hight, Noelle Potee, Matthew Fitzgerald, Taylor Spier, Kimberly Boyd, and Robby Boyd impressed the judges with their creative Documentary. The Absolute 7 will now represent Oak Hills and the Southeast Region 6 at the STATE finals in late March with results announced in April! (This is Oak Hills’ second year in a row to advance to the State Finals competition. Unfortunately, last year’s competition was cancelled due to the lock down.)
